Chapel YOUTH

Chapel Youth is a warm, welcoming, judgement-free safe space for middle school and high school students to come see what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

During class, we encourage students to ask real-life questions. We want your kids to think for themselves and understand it’s normal to not understand every single verse in the Bible. We comfort doubts and never let someone feel ashamed for struggling with understanding how God works. He is a divine mystery. And if we don’t know the answer right away, (let’s face it, the Bible doesn’t have a direct answer for EVERYTHING, especially in this day and age) we won’t make something up in pride to look like we know it all; we’ll viciously study, humbly pray, openly consult other pastors, and beg the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts as well as our minds.

We don’t base our theology or doctrine off our political bumper stickers or religious upbringing. We focus on the words of Jesus and study every other part of the Bible through the lens of his teachings. Above all, He said the most important commands are to love God and love people (Matt22:37-40). And that is what we are all about!
